Forever Furniture is a small custom woodshop in Goshen, Indiana founded in 2007. Within our 1,000 ft2 of shop space we have the normal compliment of power shop tools like a table saw, jointer, planer, router table, band saw, wide belt sander, etc, as well as a 10' x 8' spray booth and HVLP spray equipment. We also have the usual array of hand tools (planes, chisels, precision measuring tools, etc.) for fine handwork. The combination of power and hand tools gives us the ability to produce custom products of excellent quality and craftsmanship while keeping our overhead low and our prices very reasonable.
Every piece we make is individually designed using 3D drafting software (Google Sketch Up) to assist in developing our quotes. We then submit this information to our customer for approval before we schedule the piece to be built. We do not have any "off the shelf" type production. Instead we offer "models" of pieces that we have been pre-engineered as a starting point for customer customization. We found that his approach is much better than a "blank page" approach. However, we will still "blank page" design any piece a customer my want if it is within our shop capabilities. Please note that we can not produce any piece grater than 30" deep (front to back), we also are not set up to do turnings for legs or trim. Neither are we set up to produce chairs or any upholstered furniture.
We craft primarily from hand selected prime cherry boards that are regionally grown from renewable tree stands. We are also able to get locally grown oak and maple. We use only eco-friendly water based transparent wood dyes to bring out the deep beauty of the grain (no pigmented stains). Our crystal clear poly acrylic topcoat is water based to protect the environment, and it is resistant to scratches and stains with normal everyday use. We offer a standard set of colors that compliment most decors. Please reference our Color Samples page. We normally do not do color matching. However, the customer may also specify any commercially available off-the-shelf stain or dye to best suit their preference.
