All of our colors are produced from water based wood dyes.  Wood dyes are transparent colors and do not contain any pigment.  Pigments found in stains and paint cover up the beauty of the hardwood grain.  Therefore, to maximize the beauty of the hardwood grain only dyes are used.  Additionally, the dyes we use are use are water based to eliminate the pollution from oil based solvents and to be kind to the environment.  Our topcoat is also water based, and is crystal clear so as to not affect the color of the underlying dye.

Please reference the the color samples below.  These are the standard colors we offer.  We do not offer color matching services due to the subjectivity of the color match and the variability of color applied to hardwood.  This is especially true for dyes.   However, the customer also has the option to specify any commercially available off-the-shelf stain or dye (i.e. Minwax, etc.) to best suit their preference.

We always try to match as closely as possible to our color samples as each piece is being finished. However, wood is an agricultural product and has inherent variability from one piece to the other.  This variability is what gives natural wood its incredible beauty.

	We can also do black, but true black requires pigment, and therefore a paint is used instead of the dyes above.
